| Keke Palmer celebrates her anticipated debut EP release from DIVAGURL along with the new single, “AFFORD IT“, from the motion picture, “One Of Them Days“. Keke Palmer takes girl group lore and comedy to the next level in her latest music project DivaGurl, drawing inspiration from iconic girl groups of the ’90s and 2000s. DivaGurl is described by Palmer herself as a fusion of old-school R&B and contemporary pop inspirations. “I am really excited for the world to get to experience the universe of DivaGurl and the force that is Keyana. I love to be creative in all ways at all times, and merging my music with my movies has been a whole new and thrilling opportunity for me,” mentions Keke. The deluxe edition will be packaged as a comedy album that sequences the music with comedy skits. These comedic interludes depict Keke as Keyana (DivaGurl’s lead singer) in hilarious skits that build upon the storylines established in “DivaGurl”, the fictional reality show currently streaming on her media network KeyTV. Keyana is a satirical take on reality TV stars and Love & Hip Hop-style personalities, such as K. Michelle, Kandi Burruss, and Tamar Braxton—the latter 2 being fellow girl group alumni. |
